CARING FOR YOUR SHOES..

Care of leather shoes is not only about making them look good, it's also about preserving and adding to their lifespan. Treat your shoes with love and care, follow these tips specific to your Sarah Riley Designer Shoes, and you should enjoy a long and stylish life together.

 

Avenger Boots ~ Black & Grey Your Avenger boots are comfortable and the latest fashion, but before you take them for their first outing it is important to protect them.  Treat the suede with a protective spray or finish to repel water and prevent stains.  Suede looks its best when brushed - use a soft shoe brush for this purpose. You can use a general leather conditioner on the smooth leather parts of your boots to keep the leather soft.

Koru Pump ~ Brown & Gold Snake leather is delicate, so we recommend that you treat your shoes with care. Don’t wear them while driving, as you may scuff the delicate snakeskin heels. Cleaning of snakeskin footwear is best done with a cotton cloth slightly dampened with pure water. Soap products will run off the scales and down to the membrane, causing drying and curling of the scales. Use only conditioners specifically made for snakeskin.    

Koru Pump ~ Black Patent & Snake Patent leather cleaning is easily done with a mild soap and a wet cloth.  To shine them you can use a special patent leather cream.  Snake leather is delicate, so we recommend that you treat your shoes with care. Don’t wear them while driving, as you may scuff the delicate snakeskin heels. Cleaning of snakeskin footwear is best done with a cotton cloth slightly dampened with water.  Use only conditioners specifically made for snakeskin.  

Jett Shootie ~ Zebra  Before wearing your Safari shooties we recommend you treat them with a protective spray or finish to repel water and prevent stains.  A soft shoe brush will keep the hair shiny and lying flat in the right direction.  If you do get any dirt on your boots, simply wipe gently with a damp cloth or wait till it dries and brush off.  The leather parts of your shooties can be conditioned with a general smooth leather conditioner.

Jett Shootie ~ Black Conditioning your leather shooties will help soften and moisturize the leather, and protect it from drying out and cracking. Remove dirt by cleaning with a leather cleaner made specifically for smooth leathers.  Then condition - look for a natural conditioner that is absorbed into the material of the shoe, as opposed to a synthetic conditioner that sits on top of the surface. This will help to keep your boots soft and supple.

Nouveau Deco Pumps ~ Natural Snake/Black & Gold You can use a general leather conditioner on the gold parts of your shoes to keep the leather soft.  Snake leather is delicate, so we recommend that you treat your shoes with care. Don’t drive in your shoes as you may scuff the delicate snake skin heels. Cleaning of snakeskin footwear is best done with a cotton cloth slightly dampened with water. Use only conditioners specifically made for snakeskin.

Jasmine Slippers ~ Natural & Black Snake leather is delicate, so we recommend that you treat your shoes with care. Don’t drive in your shoes as you may scuff the delicate snake skin heels. Cleaning of snakeskin footwear is best done with a cotton cloth slightly dampened with plain water. Use only conditioners specifically made for snakeskin.  

NOTE:  Remember to first test any treatment or product on a small inconspicuous area of your shoes before cleaning, and only use products designed specifically for the material of your footwear (suede, smooth leather, snake etc).  Sarah Riley Designs takes no responsibility for damage to your shoes as a result of the above cleaning tips.
